Right of withdrawal

For Buyers acting as individuals, resident in a country within the EEA, including the UK

a) When purchasing products on the Website the individual as Buyer has a 14-day withdrawal period. This is in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation. This means that the Buyer has the right to cancel any purchase by notifying InPieces accordingly, within the 14-days from when the Buyer, received the purchased items (withdrawal period). 

b) If the Buyer wishes to make a withdrawal of purchase, the Buyer shall, prior to the expiry of the withdrawal period, send a clear message to InPieces. This message shall be in the manner set forth here. The Buyer needs to provide its address, name and other relevant information. This may be for example order reference, the name of the product and invoice number in the message.

c) If the Buyer uses its right of withdrawal, the Buyer has to pay for the return shipping costs and is also responsible for the condition of the product, after the Buyer has received the product as well as during the return shipping. The product needs to be returned within 14 days from the date when InPieces was notified of withdrawal. The product has to be sent well packed, in good condition and in its original box and/or packaging. All returns need to be sent to InPieces in accordance with the methods and directions set forth on the instructions. Depending on the destination, it may happen that buyers can be subject to additional charges in order to receive their package. Such charges include VAT/local taxes, Customs & Duty charges, etc. The aforementioned fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer/individual, even in case of forced return, i.e., prior to the parcel being delivered to the buyer. d) When the Buyer makes use of its right to withdraw its purchase, InPieces will refund the amount the Buyer has paid for the product, excluding shipping costs since shipping is not directy included in our services. In case of return of part of an order, shipping costs will not be refunded. InPieces is entitled to deduct an amount from the sum to be refunded, which corresponds to the depreciation in value of the product compared to the original value of the product. If and to the extent such depreciation in value is due to Buyer having handled the product to a greater extent than necessary when determining its function or characteristics.

e) InPieces will pay back the amount to the Buyer without undue delay, however, no later than within 14 days from the date InPieces notified the Buyer acceptance of withdrawal. Repayment will be made to the Buyer by the payment method originally available and chosen by the Buyer, unless otherwise agreed.

 f) The cooling-off period starts the day after the Buyer receives the order. 

Your obligations during the cooling-off period

  1. During the cooling-off period, you need to handle the item(s) and packaging with care.  You are allowed to evaluate the object in a way like you would evaluate any item at an offline store.
  2. Handling the purchased items with care is very important, because we can hold you liable for any decrease in value beyond what would be caused by careful handling. Careful handling is defined as only handling the object in a way that is acceptable to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the item(s). If we conclude the handling has decreased the value of the object, we will not mediate this claim.
  3. The item(s), including any accessories that were delivered with it, must be returned to us within 14-days of us approving your request. You should return the item(s) in the original condition and packaging. Your right to cancel is void if any item is not delivered to us within 14-days of our approval.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if there is any defect, damage or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

In case of a damaged package, and if we handled shipping on your behalf as part of our courtesy service, please take some pictures whenever possible of the packing and the damaged item, send them to us and wait for us to get back to you as we will contact the carrier. Should you have chosen to take care of shipping yourself, you should contact your carrier for any claims.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded by bank transfer, the original payment method, within 14 business days. Please remember that it can take some time for your bank to process the refund.

Costs of return shipping

If you cancel and return purchased items(s) you will bear the direct costs, risk, and responsibility of return shipping to our premises.

We highly recommend packing the object properly and securely and using insured shipping. This is because, if we can provide proof that the object was damaged or lost during return shipping, we will not reimburse you.
